Lovely selection! What transparent material is each octopus set in - is it deco gel or resin?

Thanks! The first two have resin and the others have liquid sculpey. Both first time experiments. Liquid sculpey was very easy to work with, but the resin dries up more clear.

What's the resin like to work with? I've seen lots of people here on DA use it with such wonderful results. I think I might try it out :)

Just looking at the octopuses again - I really like the eyes and the texture around the face that you've added. Have you used mica powder?

The resin is brilliant! You need to follow instructions carefully, but when you do it's easypeasy. Mix well and pour and let it set for a little over 24 hours and that's it. But you can also do loads of other things with the resin. Looking forward to trying different projects...

The octopusses are indeed coloured with mica powders. Pearl exx has a very nice selection of duotone shades.
