Hi Silicium, This music box is made from paperclay. Which essentialy is a mix of paper, glue, water and some binding agents. It's very easy to work with and dries up by air exposure. It's a form of air dry clay. There are several brands available, but I mostly use Darwi and Creall Do & Dry. When it's dried up I paint it with watercolours and acrylics.
Hi Peter, Essentialy the clay I use is vey much like papier mache. It consists mainly of paper, glue, salts and water and off course various additives of which I have no idea what they do. The brand I use is Creall do & dry which is a very cohesive clay, easy to work with, stays moist for a good while and dries up nice and strong. grtz, Barbara
